Gladstone Community Building
The Gladstone Community Building, located in Central Park, is available for rental all year long. It's a great place to have club meetings, wedding and baby showers, receptions, family reunions, graduation parties, and any other social function. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in Gladstone facilities.
Rental fee - $20 - 1st hour, $10 each additional hour. Deposit of $50 is required. All rental fees and deposits are due at the time of registration. VISA or MasterCard may be used.

The "Buddy System"
Children may register "with a buddy" for youth team programs. To guarantee same team placement, both registrations must be received at the same time. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 436-2200.

Volunteer Coaching
Many of the City of Gladstone's recreation programs help children develop their athletic and social skills, and provide them fun, challenging, and rewarding things to do. These experiences can help children grow up to be active, responsible adults. The City and these children need your help.
Volunteer coaching positions are available every season in all sports, including basketball, soccer, volleyball and flag football. You don't have to be an expert, Gladstone provides a training program for coaches, and can certify you with the National Youth Sports Coaches Association (NYSCA). Through this certification process, coaches are instructed in the psychology of coaching youth sports, maximizing athletic performances, first aid and safety, organizing fun and interesting practices, and tips on teaching sports techniques.
It only takes a few hours a week, and the benefits are immeasurable. Call the Parks & Recreation Department today to find out how you can share your time and talents with local youth. NYSCA certification classes are held several times throughout the year.
