Central Park - Located at 69th Street and No. Holmes, this 14.5-acre park is home to the Gladstone Swimming Pool and Community Building. It also boasts a lighted ballfield, two lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, two shelter houses, picnic grounds with tables and grills, a playground, drinking fountain and restrooms. Flora Park - This 29-acre park is located at 60th Terrace and No. Flora, and includes: a picnic area, small ball diamond, playground, drinking fountain and shelter. Hamilton Heights Park - This newly acquired park land will provide an additional nine acres to Gladstone's extensive park system. Plans are just now being developed for this new community asset. Happy Rock Park - This 29.8-acre park is located at 76th Street & No. Antioch. It is the pride of the Gladstone park system, and includes five lighted ballfields, four soccer fields, four lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, picnic grounds, a picnic shelter, a playground, concession stand, drinking fountain, restrooms and parking. A one-mile fitness trail circles the park, meandering through the woods and tracing nearby Shoal Creek. Hidden Hollow Park - This 39.3-acre park is nestled at 76th Terrace and No. Main, 3 blocks west of No. Oak Trafficway. It contains picnic grounds, nature trails, restrooms and parking. Meadowbrook Park - This 14-acre park is located at 60th Terrace and No. Michigan. It has a basketball court, tennis court, sand volleyball court (nets not provided), picnic area, playground, picnic shelter, a creek with a nostalgic walking bridge, and a drinking fountain. Oak Grove Park - Oak trees fill this 17-acre park, located at 76th Street and No. Troost. With a playground, sand volleyball court (nets not provided), two picnic shelters, picnic areas with grills and tables, a drinking fountain and restrooms, this park is a favorite among those looking for a place to gather and have some fun. It's also where you'll find the City's amphitheatre. The 1/2-mile walking trail provides fitness buffs and casual strollers with a beautiful setting. The open spaces make this park the natural choice for the permanent home of Theatre in the Park. 72nd Street Tennis Courts - Located at 72nd Street across from No. Euclid, this small park contains two lighted tennis courts, a drinking fountain, and plenty of parking area. Sycamore Park - This secluded grove at 66th and No. Prospect is a beautiful setting for quiet study or rest. SHELTER HOUSE RENTAL The shelter houses located in many of the Gladstone parks are available for rental throughout the year. It is a great place to have club meetings, wedding and baby showers, receptions, family reunions, birthday parties, graduation parties, and any other social function. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the Gladstone parks. Oak Grove Park - Large shelter, $15 for 4 hours, $5 each additional hour Small shelter, $10 for 4 hours, $3 each additional hour All other shelters - $10 for 4 hours, $3 each additional hour GLADSTONE COMMUNITY BUILDING The Gladstone Community Building, located in Central Park, is available for rental all year long. It's a great place to have club meetings, wedding and baby showers, receptions, family reunions, graduation parties, and any other social function. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in Gladstone facilities. Rental fee - $20 for 1st hour, $10 each additional hour, deposit of $50 is required All rental fees and deposits are due at the time of registration. VISA or MasterCard may be used.
